history
Paris Volley was created in July 1998 from a merger of the two clubs Paris Université Club and PSG-Asnières Volley. PSG already played in the top division, but when Canal + television withdrew as main sponsor, they had to work with another club to keep it going. The new club has already won numerous titles.
National league and cup
Two years after it was founded, Paris Volley became French champions for the first time and defended the title until 2003. In the 2005/06 season, the club won the championship again and also won the Supercup for the second time. In the cup competition, the club from the capital was even successful in the first season. In the next two years and in 2004 he won the cup again.
European Cup
The overall winner from 2001 will play again in the Champions League in the 2006/07 season . The French face the top 3 in Group B last season, Sisley Treviso ( Italy ), Iraklis Thessaloniki ( Greece ) and VK Dynamo Moscow ( Russia ), as well as Noliko Maaseik ( Belgium ) and Ortec Rotterdam ( Netherlands ). Each team plays five home and five away games.
