VC Dynamo Moscow (волейбольный клуб Динамо Москва) is a Russian Men - Volleyball -Verein. history
The volleyball club comes from the Russian sports club of the same name, which was founded on April 18, 1923 and was subordinate to the KGB during the Soviet era . Dynamo Moscow's successful period began in the mid-1940s. The men's team was able to win five of seven championships (1945, 1946, 1947, 1948 and 1951) and won the first three cup competitions in the Soviet Union.
From 1977 the team played as Dynamo Moskovskaya Oblast . In the mid-1980s, the men's team was able to build on earlier successes: Although they lost the national cup final against double winner VK CSKA Moscow , they were allowed to take part in the 1985 European Cup Winners' Cup, which they won in the final against Levski-Spartak Sofia .
In 1994 the men's volleyball division was dissolved. In 2000 the club was revived on the basis of the volleyball club MGFSO Olympus Moscow and played until 2002 as Dynamo-MGFSO Olympus Moscow . Since 2002 the club has been calling itself Dynamo Moscow again .
