Vammalan Lentopallo is a Finnish volleyball club from Sastamala . The first men play in the highest national league and in the European Cup. It also occurs under the name Valepa Sastamala or Levanta Sastamala.

history

The association was founded in 1978. In 1992 the team came third for the first time in the medal ranks of the domestic Mestaruusliiga. She achieved the same result in 2008. Three years later she was runner-up for the first time. In 2012 she achieved the double of championship and cup victory. After a third place in the 2012/13 season, Sastamala was again Finnish champion in 2014. In 2015 the team finished third and in 2016 runner-up. In the 2016/17 season, Sastamala became national champion for the third time. The team qualified for the Champions League for the first time . There she first prevailed in the second qualifying round against the Czech club Jihostroj České Budějovice . In the group stage she will play against the German runner-up VfB Friedrichshafen, among others .
