French volleyball championship

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the French volleyball championship, the champion of the men and women of France in volleyball is determined. It has been held for men since 1938 and for women since 1941. The highest men's league is currently known as Liga A masculine , the highest women's league, Liga A feminine . Older names are Pro A and Pro F or Nationale 1 and Division 1 .

Since the French volleyball championship was installed shortly before the Second World War , there were naturally difficulties in staging it. The 1944 season could not be ended for the men for this reason, but the championship has been held annually since the end of World War II.
