Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 is a French volleyball club from Chaumont , whose first men's team plays in the highest national league and in the European Cup.

Team of the 2016/17 season

In 1963, Robert Jeanmougin founded a volleyball division at ASPTT Chaumont. In 1996, after being promoted to the French second division (Pro B), the Chaumont Volley-Ball 52 Haute-Marne club was formed. At the beginning of the 2000s, the promotion of young talent was increased. In the 2004/05 season Chaumont played in the playoffs for promotion to the first division Pro A, but lost in the last game against Narbonne. In the following years, however, the team occupied only places in the middle of the table. With a decisive win against Saint-Nazaire in May 2012, Chaumont was promoted to the Pro A. In the 2016/17 season, the team played in the Challenge Cup . With wins against RSR Walfer , Benfica Lisbon , Spartak Myjava and Ziraat Bankası Ankara , she reached the final, in which she had to admit defeat to the Russian club Fakel Novy Urengoy . In the domestic league, the team reached the playoffs first in the main round and prevailed against Stade Poitevin Volley-Ball and Gazélec FC Ajaccio without defeat. With a 3-0 win in the final against Spacer's Toulouse , they finally became French champions for the first time. Chaumont qualified for the 2017/18 Champions League . There the French play in the group stage against Skra Bełchatów , VK Dynamo Moscow and VK Lokomotiv Novosibirsk .
