The VK Lokomotiv Novosibirsk ( Russian волейбольный клуб Локомотив Новосибирск ) is a Russian men's volleyball club from Novosibirsk . The association was founded in 1977 as Sever Novosibirsk . In 1997 the name was changed to Lokomotiv . After several relegations and promotions, they have been playing in the Russian super league since 2006. In 2010 and 2011 Lokomotiv was the Russian Cup winner. In 2012 they just missed the Final Four in the Champions League with a 11:15 in the GoldenSet against Arkasspor İzmir .

In 2013 the club won the Champions League in front of a home crowd. After defeating Zenit Kazan in the semi-finals of the Final Fours , Lok defeated the Italians Piemonte Volley 3-2 in the final .
