Stefan Thiel (born October 15, 1997 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Thiel began his career at the age of ten at TuS Kriftel . In 2013 he went to the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt . There he was retrained by the Libero to become a player. With the junior national team, he reached fourth place at the U19 European Championship in 2015 and thus qualified for the World Cup in Mexico , which ended in 13th place for the German team in the same year. For these successes he was later named Frankfurt's young athlete of the year. In the 2015/16 season, Thiel was with a double play right at the United Volleys Rhein-Main and still active at the volleyball boarding school. The United Volleys reached the playoff semifinals in the Bundesliga . In the following season, Thiel played with the youth team VC Olympia Berlin in the first division. He then moved to the Helios Grizzlys Giesen , with whom he made promotion to the Bundesliga in 2018. Thiel was then committed by the first division volleyball Bisons Bühl .

In beach volleyball , Thiel completed several youth tournaments with changing partners from 2012 to 2014.
