Barbara Höller works in a geometrically abstract design language at the interface between object-like and two-dimensionality. With the inclusion of opposites such as system coincidence, positive-negative or surface boundaries, serial sequences are usually created that follow and question a conceptual artistic question. In terms of content, spatial components and the intended presence of an observer are always essential. Mathematical or physical principles serve a combinatorial game, so that not a few works can be changed in their appearance. Her work also includes sculptures, drawings and installations.
