Sepp Moosmann

Sepp Moosmann (born December 26, 1928 in Dornbirn ; † November 26, 2017 there ) was an Austrian artist, poet and writer.

Life

Sepp Moosmann did an apprenticeship as a decorative painter. From 1952 to 1957 he studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna and graduated with a diploma and distinction. After working in London and Munich, Moosmann took part in exhibitions on textile art, with his exhibits being awarded prizes at the International Arts and Crafts exhibition in Stuttgart in 1966 . From 1967 he taught at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in the master class for textiles and was there from 1975 to 1997 professor for textile design and work .

Sepp Moosmann began writing poetry in 1965 and later also prose.

Moosmann lived and worked in Vienna, in Unterwaltersdorf and his last years in Dornbirn.
