Paul Henning (born September 28, 1997 in Erfurt ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Henning began his career at the Pierre-de-Coubertin-Gymnasium, a sports high school in his hometown of Erfurt, after he had come from high jump to volleyball. He then played for VC Gotha . In 2014 he went to the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt . In 2015 he was appointed to the junior national team for the first time, with which he took part in the European Championship. In the 2016/17 season, the middle blocker was active with double play with the boarding school in the second division and with VC Olympia Berlin in the Bundesliga. Then he moved to the first division club TV Rottenburg . With the club, he finished tenth in the Bundesliga in the 2017/18 season. In 2018 he moved to league competitor United Volleys Frankfurt . With the Frankfurt team, he was eliminated in the DVV Cup and the Bundesliga playoffs in the quarter-finals against SVG Lüneburg . He also took part in the Champions League , in which the Hessians came as a newcomer to the group stage.
