The village is on the right bank of the Aisch . Opposite the Kleine Weisach flows into the Aisch. In the east there is arable land and grassland. In the northeast the corridor is called Schelleite , in the southwest Brühl . In the south are the Eichelberg ( 296  m above sea level ) and the Holzberg ( 290  m above sea level ).

history

The place was first mentioned in the Würzburger Lehenbuch from 1303 as "Cridorf". In the deed, Apel von Thüngfeld was named as the fiefdom holder of the tithe. In 1357 this tithe was in the hands of Ulrich von Lauffenholz as a Hohenloher fief . In 1479 Hans von Lauffenholz received the Casteller fief. 1510 bought Silvester of Schaumberg here and in Weidendorf manorial claims. Since 1612, the Bamberg Monastery was the sole landlord of the ten fiefdoms of the place. In 1626, during the Thirty Years War , imperial troops stole the community's cattle, but the officers paid compensation the following day. After the war the place was deserted. Today's wasteland Greienmühle originally belonged to the Greiendorf farm association.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 6 properties in Greiendorf (1 mill, 2 courtyards, 3 farms). The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center of Höchstadt . The caste office in Höchstadt held the village and community rulership as well as the lordship over all properties .

As part of the community edict , Greiendorf was assigned to the Sterpersdorf tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Sterpersdorf, which was founded in 1818 .

On May 1, 1978 Greiendorf was incorporated into the town of Höchstadt an der Aisch as part of the regional reform .
