geography
The village lies in the middle of a forest clearing with Zentbechhofen and Greuth to the north . Immediately to the north of the village flows the Haidweihergraben ( called Aischgraben in the lower reaches ), which is a left tributary of the Aisch . There the Auenbach flows into the Haidweihergraben as a right tributary. The forest areas in the southwest are Förtschwindig , Angerholz and in the south Dummertslohe .
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1109 in the foundation letter of St. Jakob in Bamberg . From the basic word of the place name it can be concluded that it is a settlement of Wends . It was probably during the Frankish state colonization of the 9th / 10th. Century laid out according to plan. The defining word is possibly the Slavic personal name Boric, who was then a contributor to the colonization activity. The feudal lord of the place was the bishopric of Würzburg . In 1303 the tithe was awarded to the Ministerials von Nainsdorf. The Schlüsselau monastery later owned a fief here. The Bamberg cathedral chapter owned a Gülthof with a large sheep farm, which it had acquired in 1710 from the possession of Count von Wolffsthal . The largest landlord, however, were the Lords of Stiebar , who in 1738 sold their rights to Friedrich Karl von Schönborn for 7602 gulden.
At the end of the 18th century there were 14 properties in Förtschwind. The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center Bechhofen . The Schönborn rule in Pommersfelden held the village and community rulership . The landlords were the Bamberg Cathedral Chapter (Domdechantei: 2 half yards , 1 Sölde ; Erboblei Ellersdorf: 1 estate) and the Pommersfelden rulership (4 estates, 4 Sölden, 2 drip houses ).
As part of the community edict, Förtschwind was assigned to the Zentbechhofen tax district, formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community of Greuth, founded in 1818 .
On January 1, 1972, Förtschwind was incorporated into the town of Höchstadt an der Aisch as part of the regional reform .
