Greienmühle is a district of the town of Höchstadt an der Aisch in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies on the right bank of the Aisch . Opposite the Krummbach flows into the Aisch. In the southwest is the Schelleite corridor . A local road leads to a community road (0.1 km south), which runs to Greiendorf (0.7 km south-west) or to federal road 470 at the Höchstadter industrial park (0.6 km north-east).

history

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Greienmühle belonged to Greiendorf. The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center of Höchstadt . The landlord of the property was the caste office in Höchstadt .

As part of the community edict, Greienmühle was assigned to the Sterpersdorf tax district, formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Sterpersdorf, which was founded in 1818 .

On May 1, 1978 Greienmühle was incorporated into the city of Höchstadt an der Aisch as part of the regional reform .

The place was predominantly Catholic and is parish to St. Georg (Höchstadt an der Aisch) to this day . The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Oswald (Lonnerstadt) .
