Bösenbechhofen is a district of the city of Höchstadt an der Aisch in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is located in a forest clearing on the right upper reaches of the Erlenbach , which is a left tributary of the Aisch . This brook feeds a chain of ponds, north of the village of Bösenbechhofener Weiher (partly nature reserve ), south of the village of Münchsweiher. The forest area in the north is called Grethelmark , with the smaller parcels of Wegholz , Dormannsholz , Dickeiche and Eichenschlag .

history

From the place name it can be concluded that wood tar was produced there (→ pitch furnace ). To distinguish the nearby (Zent-) Bechhofen , the place was given the addition "Bösen-", which refers to unfavorable soil conditions. Accordingly, a foundation can only be assumed during the settlement development in the 10th century. In 1202 an unspecified Wolfram transferred his feudal claims to the Benedictine monastery Michelsberg . The monastery apparently had fiefdom claims there as early as 1123, as can be seen from a document in which the Bamberg citizen Gottfried Cornhunt was enfeoffed with an estate. Further fiefs were the ministerials from Aisch , later their descendants, the Truchsesse von Nainsdorf . In 1348 Bösenbechhofen was again directly owned by the monastery. As a result of the Thirty Years War , the place became deserted. In 1653 the place was still considered to be half ruined.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 12 properties in Bösenbechhofen (2 half yards, 8 Sölden , hunter's house, sheep farm). The Hochgericht exercised the Bamberg Centamt Höchstadt to the left of the village stream and the Bamberg Centamt Bechhofen to the right of the stream . The village and community rulership was held by the caste office Gremsdorf of the Michelsberg monastery, which was also the sole landlord . There was also the parish shepherd's house.

As part of the community edict, Bösenbechhofen was assigned to the Etzelskirchen tax district, formed in 1808 . In the same year the rural community Etzelskirchen was formed, to which the place belonged.

On January 1, 1972, Bösenbechhofen was incorporated into the town of Höchstadt an der Aisch as part of the regional reform .
