geography

The Schwarzenbach , which is a right tributary of the Aisch , rises to the east of the village at the peep and church ponds . The Bürgerwald also borders in the east .

history

The tithe of the place belonged to the Katharinenkloster in Bamberg in 1326. In 1497 a vineyard "on the Kaufleiten" was mentioned here. As a result of the Thirty Years War , the place was devastated.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 9 properties in Großneuses. The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center of Höchstadt . The landlords were the imperial city of Nuremberg (Landesalmosenamt-Vogtei Lonnerstadt: 1 courtyard; Spitalamt : 1 courtyard), the Nuremberg owner von Imhoff (2 estates), the Schönborn rule of Pommersfelden (3 estates), the Weingartsgreuth estate (2 courtyards). The village and township government was ganerblich exercised.

As part of the community edict, Großneuses was assigned to the Sterpersdorf tax district formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community of Schwarzenbach, founded in 1818 . In the voluntary jurisdiction, 2 properties were subordinate to the Patrimonial Court of Pommersfelden (until 1848) and 2 properties to the Patrimonial Court of Weingartsgreuth (until 1848).

On May 1, 1978 Großneuses was incorporated into the town of Höchstadt an der Aisch as part of the regional reform .
