Saltendorf is a district of the town of Höchstadt an der Aisch in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .
geography
At the village , two nameless streams converge to form the Erlenbach , which is a left tributary of the Aisch and feeds a chain of ponds south of the village. The right branch feeds the Saltendorfer Weiher northwest of the village, the left branch northeast the Münchsweiher. In the south and immediately northwest of the village there is a border between arable land and grassland. Otherwise the place is surrounded by forest areas: in the southeast the parcel is called Hundsschlag , in the east Berghölzer and in the northwest Strittsee .
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1303 in the Würzburg Lehenbuch . Here Gundlach and Heinrich von Winden were listed as fiefs of goods in the village. Saltendorf originally belonged to the Etzelskirchen court association and probably came to the Michelsberg monastery with this in 1017 , although the place was not explicitly mentioned. It is not possible to determine when the feudal claims of Würzburg passed on to the monastery and the monastery became the sole feudal lord.
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 7 properties in Saltendorf (4 courtyards, 2 half courtyards, 1 shepherd's house). The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center of Höchstadt . The village and community rulership as well as the lordship over all properties was held by the caste office Gremsdorf of the Michelsberg monastery. The shepherd's house was under the authority of the community.
As part of the community edict , Saltendorf was assigned to the Etzelskirchen tax district, formed in 1808 . In the same year the rural community Etzelskirchen was formed, to which the place belonged.
On January 1, 1972, Saltendorf was incorporated into the town of Höchstadt an der Aisch as part of the regional reform .
