Lauf is a district of the Adelsdorf community in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Central Franconia .
geography
The village is on the left bank of the Aisch . Neighboring towns are Haid (one kilometer northeast), Weppersdorf (500 m south), Uttstadt (two kilometers west) and Aisch (two kilometers west-southwest). In the northwest there is a nature reserve consisting of forest areas and lake crevasses.
history
The first documentary mention comes from the year 1109 (founding book of the Bamberg Collegiate Foundation St. Jakob ). The Laufer mill was first mentioned in a document in 1372 when it was sold. The name is likely to be derived from Loufe , which means rapids. Most of the place was owned by Schlüsselauer and Frauenaurach monasteries. The high jurisdiction lay with the Bamberg Centamt Bechhofen .
By the end of the 18th century there were 18 properties in Lauf. The high court continued to exercise the Bechhofen Center Office. The village and community rulership was held by the Bamberg caste office in Schlüsselau , which was disputed by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth monastery office in Frauenaurach . The landlords were the Kastenamt Schlüsselau (1 Hube , 1 Hof, 2 Viertelhöfe, 2 estates, 3 fiefs, 2 half-lives, 1 Gütlein, 1 mill) and the Klosteramt Frauenaurach (4 estates, 1 drip house ).
As part of the community edict , Lauf was assigned to the Weppersdorf tax district, which was formed in 1808 . In the same year the rural community Weppersdorf was formed, to which the place belonged.
On July 1, 1972, Lauf was incorporated into Adelsdorf as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
