Wiesendorf is a part of the municipality of Adelsdorf in the district of Erlangen-Höchstadt in Central Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The Reutgraben flows through the village , which feeds the Wiesendorfer Weiher south of the village and flows further north at Adelsdorf as a right tributary into the Aisch . In the north there is a new development area of ​​Adelsdorf. Otherwise the place is surrounded by arable land and grassland. In the southeast the corridor is called Gries , in the east is the Geißberg ( 298  m above sea level ).

history

In 1096 a "Louitolf von Wisendorf" was mentioned in a document. This is also the first written mention of the place. The landlord was the Schlüsselau Monastery . After its dissolution, it was administered by the Bamberg caste office in Schlüsselau from the 16th century .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 12 properties in Wiesendorf. The high court was exercised by the Bamberg center forchheim . The Bamberg caste office in Schlüsselau held the village and community rulership as well as the lordship over all properties. In 1804 there were still 12 properties. One of them is said to have been a Nuremberg subject.

As part of the community edict in 1808 that was tax district and the Rural Municipality Wiesdorf formed. With the second community edict (1818) Wiesendorf was assigned to the rural community of Weppersdorf .

In 1969 Wiesendorf was reclassified to the Adelsdorf community.

The place is still predominantly Catholic and parish to St. Stephanus (Adelsdorf) . The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Matthew (Neuhaus) .

A community connecting road runs to Adelsdorf (0.3 km north) or to Heppstädt to the district road ERH 35 (1.3 km south).
