NGC 6867 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type I / SB0 in the constellation Teleskopium the southern sky . It is estimated to be 195 million light years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light years in diameter . 
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 4944 , IC 4952 , IC 4957 , IC 4963 .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on June 9, 1836 .
