From the first round to the quarter-finals, the teams play in a knockout system . There are return games in every round. The losers in the first round continue to play in the Challenge Cup . The four winners of the quarter-finals play a “Challenge Round” together with the third-placed group from the Champions League . The winners of this round qualify for the Final Four .
