Konstantin Wiktorowitsch Ponomarjow ( Russian Константин Викторович Пономарёв ; born January 1, 1981 ) is a former Russian cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2001 and 2003, Konstantin Ponomarjow and Alexei Schmidt became vice European champion (U23) in a two-man team . In 2005 he won three medals at the European Championships; Silver in the Derny race and bronze in each of the Omnium and with Schmidt in the two-man team.

From 2006 Ponomarjov drove for the Russian Continental Team Omnibike Dynamo Moscow . At the Track Cycling World Cup in Moscow in 2006, he and his compatriot and teammate Alexei Schmidt took second place at the Madison . Shortly afterwards, he won the second stage of the Tour of South China Sea . In 2007 he ended his cycling career.
