A contact foot is a base component that provides the component with power via a plug connection. Kettles , fuses and light emitting diodes have contact feet . In the case of light emitting diodes, the English term pin is also used . A contact foot is often the counterpart to the lamp base and should not be confused with the pinch foot inside the bulb base.
