Contiguity (information technology)
Contiguity describes the environment of an entity in which further identities are logically determined or z. B. be detected (discovered) by radio technology , the relationship being assigned a special metric .
In technical solutions, this relationship is often defined by a spatial distance, although the absolute coordinates of the entities are not significant. A method of technical support such relationship metric is as vague localization (Engl. "Fuzzy locating") refers. This approach is helpful to overcome the mental barriers and legal restrictions when using a people search or already using personal identifiers .
The basis for using a relationship between entities in contiguity is relational coordination after Jody Hoffer Gittell.
