Control request

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A control request ( KA ) is a written request to a road user that is issued by the German police and with which proof of certain documents is requested.

These documents must be presented to a police station within a certain period of time , if not, there is a follow-up procedure. The most common reason for issuance of the license is the failure to bring the driver's license with the corresponding motor vehicle at a traffic control . As a rule, an investigation into driving without a license is initiated if the evidence is not provided on time.

The inspection request is usually on the same form as the notification of vehicle defects (formerly notification of defects).

It consists of an original and a control document ( carbon copy ). In most cases, the KA is issued on site and given to the driver.
