Airport surveillance control unit

The airport surveillance control unit is set up in Germany according to the local requirements of a main customs office district.

tasks

  • Combating drug , weapons and explosives smuggling as well as international terrorism (without money laundering) through covert or overt tactical and criminal procedural measures (controls of freight, mail and courier shipments, as well as baggage carried or checked in to monitor existing import or export bans, Entry and exit surveillance , surveillance , documentation, seizures and confiscation of evidence, etc.)
  • The border law enforcement , including the control of people who leave the airport area outside of generally approved bodies, with regard to the possession of goods
  • Follow-up checks on travelers, including monitoring cross-border cash movements to prevent and prosecute money laundering , throughout the airport.
  • Checks and clearance at the crew checkpoints (e.g. General Aviation Terminal)
  • Apron clearance and monitoring (e.g. export monitoring)
  • the surveillance of customs airports and areas subject to border control
  • the control of the trains entering the airport (e.g. ICE from Amsterdam), in particular to safeguard the community and national regulations on bans and restrictions (drugs, weapons, etc.)
  • the operation of the radio control center as a central communication, database query and operations control center, as well as a central point for all support, administrative assistance or other requests received by telephone, fax, e-mail, radio or other means from relevant bodies ( ZKA , Customs investigation offices , BKA , LKÄ , state or federal police stations, constitutional protection , federal intelligence service , etc.)

Personnel and equipment

Officials in this unit are uniformed or on civil service. You have a large number of patrol cars, some with office equipment, so that you can act on site and at the same time independent of the station.
