Konya Teknokent is a technology park in Konya , Turkey.

history

Konya Teknokent was established in 2004 under the Act No. 4691 " Technological Development Zone " on behalf of Selçuk Üniversitesi Konya. Konya Teknokent is one of the rapidly developing technology parks in Turkey with currently over 100 partner companies. These partner companies come from different areas of the country as well as from abroad. 20% of the partner companies are spin-offs from academics from Selçuk University.

structure

Konya Teknokent is a full member of the "International Association of Science Parks" (IASP) from Spain. The park offers offices for rent for technological companies, whereby companies can set up their own buildings and research facilities on an area of ​​over 500,000 m². Companies oriented towards research and development can work with tax advantages on income, profit, sales and value added taxes of up to 100%.

Konya Teknokent also acts as an intermediary to the European and government development and funding organizations such as TÜBITAK , Enterprise European Network (EEN) and FP7 programs.

The above-average growth of the technology park results among other things from the close cooperation with local organizations such as the commodity exchange “Konya Ticaret Borsası” (KTB), the Chamber of Industry “Konya Sanayi Odası” (KSO), the Chamber of Commerce “Konya Ticaret Odası” (KTO) and the Industrial area administration "Konya Organize Sanayi Bölgesi" (KOS).
