The Jezioro Koprowo ( German  Coperow Lake ) is the largest lake on the Polish Baltic Sea island of Wolin . It is in the Gmina Wolin and thus belongs to the Powiat Kamieński in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

The lake is located in the northeast of the island Wolin, about 900 m from the Baltic Sea and 1.6 km from the Zalew Kamieński (German Camminer Bodden ). The nearest localities are Gogolice in the east, Rekowo in the southeast, Chynowo in the south, Wartowo in the west and Świętouść in the northwest.

The Jezioro Koprowo is around 3.3 km long and up to 2.5 km wide. With 450 hectares it owns about the area of the Schmollensee on the neighboring island of Usedom . It is a relic lake that was created when an earlier bay was cut off from the sea by a wall of sand. It is connected to the Zalew Kamieński via the Lewińska Struga (German Lauensche Beeke ) brook, which rises in the Warnowo lake area . Since the level of Jezioro Koprowo is only 0.1 m above sea level, salt water regularly flows into the lake via this connection when the wind is north. The resulting salinity of the lake water shows a pronounced north-south gradient. The concentration of chloride ions is 489 mg / l in the northern part and 304 mg / l in the southern part. The depth of view in the eutrophic water is 55 cm. The Maritime Office in Szczecin assesses the ecological condition of the lake as unsatisfactory with a tendency towards further deterioration.

As is typical for brackish water, the biological diversity of species is relatively low. The lake is surrounded by dense reed beds. Hydrophytes , on the other hand, are rare. The lake has been part of the 125 km² bird sanctuary "Zalew Kamieński i Dziwna" since 2011.
