Rodolfo Celletti
Rodolfo Celletti (born June 13, 1917 in Rome , † October 4, 2004 ) was an Italian music critic and author.
Celletti studied law at the University of Rome . He acquired musical knowledge self- taught. He wrote articles for the newspapers and magazines Il Tempo (1950–1953), La Scala (1953–1963), Discoteca (from 1963), La Repubblica and Panorama . From 1974 to 1984 he was a music critic at Epoca . He made a name for himself as a singer and opera connoisseur . His best-known work is Le grandi voci (1964). From 1958 to 1966 he worked on several volumes of the Enciclopedia dello spettacolo . From 1972 he taught singing. From 1980 to 1993 he was artistic director of the Festival della Valle d'Itria in Martina Franca, where a Celletti Prize has been awarded since 2010. In 1987 he received the Bacco dei Borbone Prize in Martina Franca. In 1984 he became an advisor to the Teatro Comunale di Bologna . In 1992 he took a singing course in Milan.
