The Zalew Kamieński (German Camminer Bodden ) is a lagoon of the Dziwna (Eng. Dievenow ), the eastern branch of the Oder, which flows into the Baltic Sea . It is located in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship .
It is bounded in the south by the island Wyspa Chrząszczewska (Ger. Gristow ), in the west and northwest by the island Wolin (Ger. Wollin ) and in the east and northeast by the Pomeranian mainland. Side bays are the Zatoka Wrzosowska ( Eng . Fritzower See ), the Karpinka ( Eng . The Carpin ) and the Promna ( Eng . The Ferry ). In addition to the Dziwna, tributaries are the Świniec (German Schwenzer Bach ) and Lewińska Struga (German Lauenscher Bach ). The largest town on the bay is Kamień Pomorski (Eng. Cammin ).
The 125 km² bird sanctuary “Zalew Kamieński i Dziwna”, established in 2011, includes the Zalew Kamieński and the Dziwna as well as the Jezioro Koprowo (German: Coperow Lake ).
