Corkscrew Willow

The corkscrew willow ( Salix matsudana 'Tortuosa') is a cultural form of the Chinese willow ( Salix matsudana ) from the genus of willow ( Salix ). The branches are often used for binding in floristry and as vase decorations . In the garden, the tree or shrub looks interesting in the winter months due to its melancholy and bizarre silhouette . The corkscrew willow grows up to 100 cm within a year and is therefore often used where rapid tree growth is required.

The culture form is easy to multiply. This requires watering cut branches, e.g. B. in a water barrel until enough roots have formed. Then it can be planted in suitable soil without any problems.
