Corps doctor

In the German army, the corps doctor was the medical-technical advisor to the general command of an army corps as well as the executive body for all measures there relating to health and medical services .

In terms of rank, the corps doctor was usually a general doctor . He was at the head of the medical office , both directly under the commanding general on the one hand and the general staff doctor on the other.

The corps doctors of the Royal Saxon 12th and 19th and 13th Royal Württemberg Corps headed the medical corps independently of the Army General Staff Doctor .

The corps physician of the Austro-Hungarian army (chief medical officer of the corps command) were first class senior staff physicians , and rarely general staff physicians .
