Cossack grave

The Cossack grave is a listed grave complex in Halberstadt in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located west of Halberstadt on the north side of the Braunschweiger Straße between Halberstadt and Aspenstedt, which leads in the direction of Osterwieck as federal road 79 . Immediately to the east of the grave is a road house .

The tomb serves as a memorial to the Wars of Liberation . In the grave two are Cossacks of Czernitscheffschen Corps buried that on May 31, 1813 during a skirmish on the Burchardianger died.

There is a tombstone at the north end of the grave . It is labeled with the words:

Here rest
two Cossacks of the
Czernitscheff Corps
who on May 31, 1813
in the battle
on the Burchardi
anger ...

The last word is no longer legible (as of 2013).

In the local register of monuments , the tomb is listed as a monument under registration number 094 02718.
