Kostas Evangelatos , Greek Κώστας Ευαγγελάτος , (* 1957 in Argostoli ) is a Greek artist and poet.

Life

From 1975 to 1977 Evangelatos learned free hand drawing in workshops in Athens. In 1981 he graduated from Athens University with a law degree. From 1983 to 1985 he studied history of contemporary art and painting at The New School University in Manhattan, New York. From 1986 to 1993 he was artistic director of the DADA gallery in Athens. In October 1990 he founded the so-called group of visual artists of ART STUDIO EST .

Works

Evangelatos has shown his work in 39 solo exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has participated in many collective exhibitions, such as 1984 at Writers and Books Inc. Rochester in New York, 1985 at Orraca Studio in New York, at Fordham University in Lincoln Center in New York York, in the DADA gallery in Athens, in 1988 in the Center Cultural “Les Fontaines” in Chantilly in France, in 1994 in the winter school in Glasgow in Scotland, at Plain Air '94 in Avignon in France, 1996 in the Opus 39 Gallery in Nicosia , Cyprus, at the "Message in bottle" exhibitions in Cyprus and Spain.
