Kostoulas Recycling ( Greek Κ. Κωστούλας ΑΕΒΕ ) is a Greek waste disposal company based in Athens .

history

The company was founded in 1980 by Konstantinos Kostoulas.

In 1996 the company hired 10 executives from Germany's largest waste disposal companies, such as Rethmann , Lobbe GmbH and Edelhoff AG. In 1998 the company made a profit of 306 million drachmas , ranking 41st in the Greek industry.

In 1999, Kostoulas suffered great damage from the ongoing fires at Plant B in Athens, with the result that the company lost its power and half of its staff to the exorbitant fines. In 2007 Kostoulas sold its subsidiary Athens Waste Recycling to Betanet.

The company also has recycling plants in Larisa , Thessaloniki and Crete , operated by the subsidiary Ηellenic Recycling SA
