history
In 2000, the ice hockey department from the sports club Kovlands Idrottsförening and founded an independent ice hockey club under the name Kovlands Ishockeyförening. The team has played in the third-class Division 1 since it was founded , but has since been relegated to Division 2 , in which it now competes. In 2018, as group winners of Group North C / D, the club only missed promotion to the third division, now known as Hockeyettan , only through two defeats (0: 5 and 3: 5) against the winner of the parallel season North A / B, the Kiruna AIF .
