Ulica Królowej Jadwigi 6 is a listed building in the Polish Sopot ( German Sopot ), Pomeranian Voivodeship . The representative house was built in 1910 in the local style.

history

Victoriastraße was laid out around 1900 near the Kurhaus in the up-and-coming seaside resort of Sopot, and from 1906 to 1914 apartment houses for the upper class were built on. Originally named after the dowager empress Victoria , in 1945 it was renamed ulica Królowej Jadwigi after St. Hedwig of Poland . The Hotel Metropol at the beginning of the street burned down in 1945.

The building was placed under monument protection in 1978 and entered in the list of monuments of the Pomeranian Voivodeship under the number 637587. The five neighboring buildings with house numbers 3, 4, 5 , 7 and 9 are also listed. The building will continue to be used as a residential building and the ground floor will be rented to guests as apartments.

The building is a representative building in the homeland style. It forms a unit with house number 4, which is adjacent to the south. The building was renovated and the roof was given a new covering.
