Methe (mythology)
Methe ( ancient Greek Μέθη ) is a Bakchian nymph of Greek mythology . As the companion of wine gods such as Dionysus or Silenus , she was considered the personified drunkenness, also called Mainade Kraipale (ancient Greek κραιπάλη = intoxication, kitty). From Staphylos, a companion of Dionysus, she was the mother of Botry .
