Krakatau Steel

Krakatau Steel is an Indonesian state-owned company in the metallurgy sector . The company, which was founded in 1970, operates three plants for cables, bars and steel profiles that were opened in 1977 in the town of Cilegon in the Kabupaten (administrative district) of Serang in the province of Banten in the west of the island of Java . In 1983, Krakatau Steel also started up a factory for the production of steel plates and a rolling mill. The group of companies includes a thermal power station, a sewage treatment plant for industrial water and the high-sea port of Cigading .

The current second division club Cilegon United plays its games in the company's own stadium .
