Exhibitions

Insight into the changing exhibition of the Bielefeld Hospital Museum - topic: "Hello my heart". In the foreground: iron lungs

The first temporary exhibition at the facility, which opened in 2010, was dedicated to "breathing": The exhibition comprised exhibits from the areas of ventilation and oxygen supply, diagnostics and therapy for breathing difficulties, and inhalation. The iron lungs remain the focus, also in the 2016/17 exhibition on the subject of “Physical Culture in Hospitals”. This topic can be found on the basis of the museum's own exhibits . The subsequent topic “Child in the hospital” with a focus on pregnancy, childbirth and infant care, including childhood diseases, was replaced on November 11, 2018 by the temporary exhibition under the motto “Hello my heart - from medicinal herbs and stethoscope to cardiac catheters and pacemakers”.
