Credit mediator

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Credit Mediator led and coordinated on behalf of the Federal Government to build a credit mediation in the Federal Republic, has been coordinating the Bank-independent, neutral mediator the mediation process between credit-seeking companies and banking industry and guide the company as required in the different stages of the procedure. The aim is to work out suitable ways for a solution between all parties involved and thus to enable financing for projects.

coordination

In several countries, the function of a credit mediator was created after the financial crisis from 2007 onwards , when credit institutions around the world allegedly held back in lending and therefore a looming credit crunch was discussed. The task of this mediator should be to mediate in conflicts between credit institutions and loan-seeking companies in the event of loan rejection. The respective governments hope this will reduce job losses caused by companies' financial difficulties. The mediator begins with a situation analysis based on an application by the loan-seeking company, contacts the credit institution involved with a request for a statement and then decides on how to proceed.

Germany

In Germany, the federal government created the office of credit mediator at the beginning of December 2009 and appointed Hans-Joachim Metternich , spokesman for the management of the Investment and Structural Bank Rhineland-Palatinate (ISB) GmbH to this office. The seat of the credit mediator is Frankfurt am Main. The credit mediator started work on March 1, 2010. An application for credit mediation has been possible since March 31. Not since the end of 2011.

France

In France, in November 2008, on the initiative of President Nicolas Sarkozy, the post of credit mediator was established as the first country. Credit mediator Gérard Rameix said he handled more than 34,000 cases in the first year of the office's existence, involving credit matters for more than 8,500 companies. He claims to have arranged 1.8 billion euros in additional loans and thus secured more than 270,000 jobs.
