The Rheinland Klinikum Dormagen is a regional health center and belongs to the Rheinland Klinikum Neuss GmbH with the Rheinland Klinikum Grevenbroich Elisabethkrankenhaus and the Rheinland Klinikum Neuss Lukaskrankenhaus as well as a medical care center (MVZ Rhein-Kreis Neuss Kliniken GmbH) . The hospital has been an academic teaching hospital at the University of Cologne since 1983 . It is a general hospital and as such is included in the hospital plan of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The various clinics and departments occupy a total of 294 beds (as of 2020) in the fields of surgery, gastroenterology and hemato-oncology, cardiology, gynecology and obstetrics, orthopedics, anesthesia, pain therapy, radiology and the central emergency department, as well as an ear, nose and throat department. The house has 19 interdisciplinary intensive care beds and a palliative ward with seven beds. The Clinic for Gastroenterology and Haemato-oncology operates a large oncological outpatient clinic together with the Clinic for Gynecology.
