Kremerhus in Hitzkirch

The Kremerhaus or the old color, as it is still called today, is the oldest still inhabited building in Hitzkirch , Canton Lucerne . It dates from the 15th century.

history

When in the throes of the Reformation 1529-1542 German Order was skommende destroyed, survived the Kremer House and served Coming as a home-grown business and Krämerhaus. Paint was also made in this building. Wall protrusions inside the house still indicate this. Until 1896, every time there was a change of ownership, there was always talk of a color scheme.

Today's Kremerhaus consists of very thick foundation walls and has barrel vaulted rooms in the basement and on the ground floor . The transom gable fields exposed during the last exterior renovation are remarkable.
