Kresimir Stanic

Krešimir Stanić (born March 6, 1985 ) is a former Swiss football player with Croatian roots.

Life

The striker came from the youth department of FC Zurich . He came regularly to partial appearances in the Super League . He was also a member of the Swiss U21 national team .

On the night of September 16-17, 2006, he caused a car accident with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.91 per mille and at extremely high speed , in which he sustained serious injuries, especially on his left leg. Although Stanic returned to the training ground and trained with the FCZ U21s, he had to end his professional career. Today Stanic works as a junior coach at FC Zurich.

On February 11, 2009, Kresimir Stanic was sentenced to a conditional fine by the Zurich District Court for the traffic offense. In November 2009 it became known that on February 14, 2009, just three days after his conviction, Kresimir Stanic drove through a tunnel at a speed of 132 instead of the permitted 80 kilometers per hour.
