Cross for award of the Reserve Army of Andalusia

The Cross for Distinction of the Reserve Army of Andalusia (Spanish: Cruz de distinción del Ejército de Reserva de Andalucía ) was donated on December 28, 1814. Founder was the King of Spain Ferdinand VII , which is why he is also partially listed as Ferdinand VII - Cross (Cruz de Fernando VII).

The award was intended for the merits of officers and soldiers in the Andalusian reserve army. This was given to the participants in the battles of Sorauren in the Pyrenees and of Nivelle in 1813, as well as the participants in the capture of Pancorbo.

There were two stages. For generals and officers the cross was a gold decoration and for soldiers it was made of copper.

Decoration and ribbon

The white cross was on a laurel wreath and the medallion was in gold or copper according to the award level. The order decoration showed the image of the king on the front in the middle shield of the cross. A legend "El Rey al exercito de reserva de Andalusia" meant "The King of the Reserve Army of Andalusia". On the back in the middle was the year 1813 and the inscription "Pancorbo, Pirineos, Nivelle".

The ribbon was yellow with blue borders.
