Pazardzhik Cross

The Cross of Pazardzhik , was a Russian award for the victorious storming and capture of the city of Pazardzhik , today's Dobrich , on May 22, 1810 in the Russo-Turkish War 1806-12 . The founder of this award for merit was Emperor Alexander .

Order decoration

The decoration of the order bore the inscription (in Cyrillic script) on the front: For the storming and taking of Pazardzhik On the back was the text: For excellent merit. The gold-plated award had the shape of a Maltese cross with spherical tips and a central round medallion and a loop between the cross arms.

Ribbon and way of wearing

The award was worn on the ribbon of the Order of St. George. The cross is worn with the ribbon on the buttonhole.
