The Exaltation of the Cross Church , ( Ukrainian Церква Воздвиження Чесного Хреста / Tserkva Wosdwyschennja Tschesnoho Chresta ) is an Orthodox church building of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (Ternopil Eparchy) in Ternopil , a city in western Ukraine and the capital of Oblast Ternopil . The exact date of construction of the church is unknown. The bell tower was built in 1627 and the church was restored in 1954. Between around 1700 and 1946 it belonged to the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGKK) .
