Cross step

A lockstep , also called cross step , is a dance step in Jive , Quickstepp or Cha-Cha-Cha , which consists of the following three steps:

  1. One step forward
  2. Free leg crosses diagonally behind the supporting leg
  3. One step forward

This dance step can be danced both forwards and backwards. A rear lockstep will Backlockstep called.
