Grabow war memorial

The Grabow war memorial is a listed war memorial in the village of Grabow in the town of Möckern in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the war memorial is listed under registration number 094 86751 as a monument .

It is located in the churchyard of the St. Jakobi Church in Grabow.

Design and history

The war memorial is a stele made of field stones , which is crowned by a cross and in which a plaque is embedded.

The memorial was originally erected only for those who died in the First World War. Due to the severe weathering, a general plaque was put up for the fallen of both world wars after reunification. Since the church burned down in 1998, any existing memorial plaques were also destroyed.
