The war memorial in Leuna is a listed war memorial in the city of Leuna in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located north of Leuna city center on the north side of Brückenstraße, immediately south of the Rössen district . A little further to the east is the Rössener Hügel , to the west the Rössener Sankt-Nikolai-Kirche .

Architecture and history

The war memorial was erected in 1937 based on a design by the Leuna architect H. Busse . It is built in a monumental style in the shape of a round temple and commemorates the fallen of the First World War .

In the local register of monuments , the war memorial is listed as a monument under registration number 094 20776 .
