The Nißmitz war memorial is a listed war memorial in the village of Nißmitz in the Freyburg community in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the memorial stone is recorded as a monument under registration number 094 83425 .

The Nißmitz war memorial is a stele that stands on a stepped base. The stele is crowned by an iron cross. A sphere is located on both sides as a base end and a hemisphere on the struts. A shaped tree stump with young oak branches is located in the lower area of ​​the stele and above it a quarter sun. Since the monument is on a hillside, the area is supported on one side by a wall and several steps lead up to the monument. The iron cross contains the inscription GOTT MIT UNS . On the front of the stele there is the inscription AN HONORABLE MEMORIAL OF OUR FALLEN SOLDIERS OF THE TWO WORLD WARS OF 1914, 1918 AND 1939, 1945 and on the back For Heimat u. Fatherland died in the world wars of 1914, 1918 as well as the names of the fallen. The base also had an inscription, but this is no longer legible today.
